The starting and operating instructions are applicable to the electric submersible waste
water pumps specified on the cover. The pumps are intended for pumping waste water,
untreated or clean water, and slurries. The manufacturer guarantees that a new pump will
not emit airborne noise in excess of 70 dB(A) during normal operation (when submerged
or half-submerged). The corresponding value for the pump in a dry installation is a
maximum of 75 dB(A).
CAUTION!
The pump must not be run if it has been partially dismantled.
Limitations
Immersion depth: up to 20 m (65 ft). Liquid temperature: up to 40°C (105°F).

Motor
3-phase squirrel-cage induction motor for 50 Hz. Degree of protection IP 68.
Motor protection
The stator is as option equipped with built-in temperature sensors. The temperature sensors
are connected in series and open at 140°C.
Moisture sensor
The pump motor is as option supplied with a moisture sensor which is located in the lower
end wall of the motor compartment, so that moisture indication is obtained both for the motor
compartment and for the upper sealing compartment [ the lower part of the motor
compartment ]. The control cable for the sensor is marked Di. The control cable is
connected to a relay that is activated by a decrease in resistance to ground. A normal
The pump can be transported and stored either vertically or horizontally. Make sure that it
is securely lashed and cannot roll.
CAUTION! The pump must always rest on a firm surface so that it will
not overturn. This applies to all handling, transport, testing and

installation.

NOTE! Always protect the cable end so that no moisture will penetrate into the
cable. Water could otherwise seep into the terminal compartment or into the
motor through the cable.
Safety measures
In order to reduce the risk of accidents during service and installation work, take extreme
care and bear in mind the risk of electrical accidents.
Before starting check bolts to the handle and nuts between motorhousing and volute.
Note! Dry and wet installed pumps have different seal units.
CAUTION! The lifting tackle must always be designed to suit the
pump weight, see page 26. Never walk under a suspended load.

CAUTION! The pump must not be used in an explosive or flammable
environment or for pumping flammable liquids.
CAUTION! Should a person come in contact with either the pump or the
pumped medium, for example on construction sites, in agriculture etc, an
earth leakage detector (ELCB) must be used. When pumps are used in
ponds, fountains, beaches etc, a safe distance of 20 m should be maintained
between the pump and people in the water. The pump must not be used in
swimming pools. Special regulations apply for swimming pools.

as a warning. [ ] = dry installation.

10 m ( 30 ft) of HO7RN-F or equivalent cable. If the cable is longer, the voltage drop must be
taken into account. For dimensions, see the table on page 26 (at the end of the manual).

CAUTION! Always lift the pump by the lifting handle - never by the motor
cable or hose.
After a longer period of storage, the pump must be inspected and the impeller must be
rotated by hand before the pump is taken into operation. Check the seals and cable entry
particularly carefully.
CAUTION! Before lifting the pump, check the condition of the lifting
handle and make sure that its screws are securely tightened.
Installation of pump with discharge
bracket - F
Arrange the cable run to the pump sump. Make sure that the
cables are not kinked or nipped.
Install the discharge bracket at the bottom of the pump sump.
When fitting the upper guide bracket, make certain that the
guide tubes are vertical and parallel with one another.
Connect the delivery pipe to the discharge bracket.
