Commissioning - First Setup
a) Caution! Insert the batteries before connecting the unit to the power supply. Perform the following operations:
b) Open and close the cover: insert a paper clip into the hole located at the base of the display and press to release
the cover from the hook that holds it while lifting it. Hook the top of cover and press its bottom until it locks to close it.
c) Power-on: place both batteries in the unit checking their polarity (see figure) and the unit's firmware version
and trademark will display. Select OK to confirm Italian language setting or press ↓ to scroll and highlight another
language.
Continue by following the propts shown on the display and by selecting OK to confirm selected options.
d) Battery life: 72 hours (displayed on the device - for new and charged batteries). Do not operate the device when
it is not powered as it would quickly drain battery's capacity. The device will report when batteries need to be
replaced. Change batteries within 24 hours at most from when low battery is first reported. Even when low battery is
not report, we recommend changing batteries every 4 years.
Caution! Do not remove batteries until the unit alerts you that their level is low as reporting errors occur otherwise.
When battery level is too low, Controller will report the condition and stop operating.
Caution: warranty does not cover battery's capacity loss as it does not depend on the manufacturer.
e) Secret code: enter a 5-digit code when the system prompts you to do. This code must be remembered as you will
need to enter it in order to carry out security operations.
Caution! An already programmed system will "disarm" (OFF) after 5 seconds when no operation is performed after
entering the secret code. The system will remain in setup mode if programming has not been completed.
f) Code loss: you must disconnect the unit from the network, open the device (thereby triggering a tamper alarm),
remove batteries and wait a minute to reset the unit in the event of code loss. Repeat setup procedure from step c)
when the unit is reset. Resetting does not require having to setup detectors again since their programming will not
be deleted.
g) Setup mode: the unit is in setup mode when the six service icons are displayed. Function's setup is simple and
intuitive.
