HOW TO USE THE SYSTEM
Meaning of icons. Once setup Controller will supply the following functions.
Select this icon to arm the system, then select the zone to be armed in the second screen that will be displayed (see figures). Select this icon to
disarm the system.
Select this icon to test the system. Trigger a detector's alarm to hear the alarm sound/message and to display each alarmed detector. Enable test
mode also to replace detectors' batteries without triggering a tamper alarm.
Use the ← → keys to change display's lighting, how long it takes to turn on (0-60 seconds) and buzzer's volume.
Caution! Display's light will turn on for only 5 seconds after its last operation in the event of power failure.
Use this icon to display the last 100 events stored by the device.
Use this icon to set precise date and time in order to store this data for each event. Check and update the time at least once every 6 months.
Daylight saving time is automatically updated.
Use this icon to setup detectors and alarm devices (their tamper protection) .
Control unit's operations - Integrating remote controls and sirens
Arming: the control panel is armed with a 30 second not adjustable alarm
delay. The setting is shown on the display.
Open windows/doors when system is armed: they are displayed during
the 30 seconds delay. When more than one is open, same are sequenced
by pressing ↓↑. Open windows/doors shall be protected if they are
closed. Controller will not manage open windows/doors which could
trigger false alarm should they be closed and re-opened.
Disarming: enter the secret code to disarm the control panel and to
immediately stop any alarm. Press ↓↑ to sequence on the display any
events occurred while the system was armed.
Event display duration: any event continues to be displayed after the
system is disarmed. Press OK to disable event display. Once preset time
has elapsed, the events can be displayed only from the event log.
Arming/Disarming Status: an optional wireless Displayer can be
integrated into the system to report control panel's condition in addition
to sound alerts. The device may be installed also outdoors if sheltered
from the elements.
Alarm: lights that turn on and other actuators controlled by various types
of RX receivers may be added to the system in addition to sirens and/or
sounders (see Silentron's catalogue). These receivers can also control a
telephone transmitter used to make help calls.
Tamper protection: Controller does not feature any specific tamper
protections other than it housing opening tamper as it is a "table top"
device. We therefore recommend placing the device inside a drawer that
is not made with metal and/or to hide it from view. An alarm that is in
progress will not be stopped by damaging or destroying Controller during
an alarm event. All detectors and sirens are tamper protected. Enable
Controller's TEST mode before opening any of the above devices.
Low batteries: Controller will beep, light up and display any low battery
sensor/detector it detects each time it is armed/disarmed.
12
Supervisory report: the unit regularly checks all detectors' operation and reports any fault by lighting up the display
and displaying the fault.
Radio interferences: the control panel displays this message when a radio interference that could harm the system's
operation has been detected. We recommend testing various detectors to check if it is a permanent or random
interference. Interference causes may be very difficult to pinpoint as transmission signals that disturb the signal of
this kind of device are prohibited by law.
You can overlook the issue if radio interference is randomly reported and the test confirms detectors proper
operations. Contact your installer for support should interference be constantly reported as same could be triggered
also by tamper attempts.
If "Fault ?" is displayed followed by the name of one or more detectors (↓↑): such detector could actually be faulty
or have a radio range issue. Enable the unit's test mode and check detector's operation. Check also that the battery is
fully into contact with the metal blades. The detector must be replaced should it continue not operate.
