1. Remove the battery holder from the body
Release the battery holder lock (Fig.1), then remove it from the Fieldscope

body (Fig.2) .

2. Insert the batteries

Insert the batteries in the direction indicated inside the battery holder (Fig. 3).
3. Attach to the Fieldscope body

Position the battery holder as in (Fig.4), then push the nearside of the holder

down to lock (Fig.1).

Precautions when changing batteries

・ Before replacing batteries, make sure the VR lock knob is in the locked position,

then remove the battery holder. If the knob is not locked, accidental contact

with the VR ON/OFF button may turn VR on. This might cause the product to
malfunction.

・ When replacing batteries outdoors, be sure that no liquid enters the battery holder.

Locking the battery holder
・ Fix the battery holder in the correct position, and make sure it is locked properly

(Fig. 1). If it is not locked, it might fall unexpectedly.

Keep the battery holder connection clean
・ Do not open the battery holder in humid conditions such as in the rain or near the
sea, or in a dusty area. This might cause a contact failure.
・ When changing the batteries, be sure not to dirty the connection as this might
cause poor contact.
Use fully charged batteries at low temperatures and prepare spare
batteries.
・ When using weak batteries at low temperatures, VR function may not operate.
In cold conditions, use new batteries or fully charged batteries. Also, keep spare
batteries warm, for use in alternate shifts. Even if batteries do not work at low
temperatures, they may function again at a normal temperature.
