In the case of an extreme discharge, the charging process
can be delayed for several minutes (red flashing LED dis-
play) after pushing on the battery.
If the battery is not charged despite a normal tempera-
ture, it must be assumed that the battery is faulty.
Once the battery is charged, the device automatically
switches from fast-charging to conservation-charging; the
green lamp illuminates. Repeatedly plugging in a charged
battery leads to over-charging and impairs its service life;
this must therefore be avoided.

Cleaning and care.
!
Risk of injury
by switching the tool ON unintentionally.
Before cleaning, pull out the mains plug.
Carry out the following once a week, or more often if the
device is used more frequently:
Keep the contacts in the slip-on cable socket clean.
Clean the venting openings.
Only dry-clean the electrical parts.
Make sure that no metal chips penetrate the battery-
charger housing.
New batteries that have not yet been formed, or batter-
ies with a very low charge that have to be re-formed, do
not reach their full capacity until after 3 – 5 charging/
discharging cycles.
The charging time for the Fein battery charger ALG 20
lies between 20 to 60 minutes, depending on the capac-
ity of the battery.
If the battery becomes discharged within a short time
despite it having been charged correctly, it has reached
the end of its service life.
