Set the thermostat to the desired position from "MIN" to "MAX" (MAX
being the hottest). When the green pilot light goes on, it means that
the desired temperature is reached. During use, this light will come on
and off regularly. This simply means that the thermostat is regulating
the appliance's temperature.
Caution: during operation, the baking plates heat up. Use caution to
avoid burns. Use oven mitts and heat-resistant wooden or plastic utensils!
•
Open the appliance carefully by using two fingers to pull on the
clamp and lightly brush the plates with oil or non-stick cooking
spray. Do not touch the region next to the warning sign at any time
as it may be hot.
•
Shut the lid using the same clamp making sure not to touch the
region next to the warning sign with bare hands.
•
Pour the batter into the measuring cup until 185 ml
•
Begin to pour batter through the black colored opening on the
raised side of the unit.
•
As the unit is raised from one side and shut from the other, the
batter will spread evenly through the unit.
•
Pour all the batter from the measuring cup into the opening.
Bake until golden brown. If necessary, adjust the temperature by
•
turning the thermostat to the desired browning level needed to
bake, and wait until the green pilot light goes out.
Caution: After pouring the batter, take extra precaution to not touch
the region next to the 'hot surface symbol' warning sign on the
machine
•
When the waffles are ready, use two fingers again to pull on the
clamp and open the appliance.
Caution: Do not operate the appliance in the horizontal position
•
Remove the waffle with a plastic or wooden spatula. Never use any
sharp metallic objects, as this might damage the non-stick coating.
•
When baking is finished, set thermostat to "off" or "min.", unplug the
cord from the socket and leave the appliance open to cool.
Note: For best results, use a thinner waffle batter rather than a thick
one.
