9. MIDI SETUP
- USB: MIDI/LINK we can select the function of the USB MIDI JACK between:
a) MIDI: turn TRACK until at display you see USB = MIDI then press ENTER to memorize
and exit Internal Mode. Your player is available the USB MIDI JACK function.
b) LINK (link to another Player K2): turn TRACK until at display you see USB = LINK,
press ENTER to memorize and exit Internal Mode. Your player is set to be linked to another
K2 Player.

- MIDI Channel: allow for the selection of one of the 16 MIDI Channels.
- SHIFT: you can set this function as HOLD or TOGGLE.
- JOG OUTPUT (0~30 ms) (Control JOG MIDI max. send time)
We can set the "delay" response of the Jog Wheel. The setting range is 0 a 30 miliseconds.
To perform the setting press SHIFT button and turn TRACK control.
NOTE: some DJ Softwares only can process a limited amount of MIDI events per second.
i.e., a value of 25 miliseconds allows for 40 MIDI events per second.
- NAME = MIDI (B~H) Via the Name function it is possible to determine the player's
hardware ID. The chosen name will be recognized by the computer.
- Pulse = (1024 or 512)
Is directly related to the accuracy of the Jog Wheel response.
- I/O DISPLAY/Hide
We can adjust the MIDI parameters to be depicted at the Display. That scenario is
DISPLAY. On HIDE mode the MIDI parameters do not appear.
- EDIT = ON/OFF
With EDIT mode in ON we can edit MIDI events (MIDI Note, MIDI LED). With EDIT
mode in OFF your equipment will send the MIDI messages set by defect.
- Name = MIDI
Allow for the identification of other hardware connected to your Computer. The Computer
can recognize the ID of different Hardware.
A. MIDI NOTE EDIT
This menu allows for the change of the MIDI identification of K2 Controls. In fact, all
controls have a MIDI address (factory preset) that can be seen at the MIDI Map (p31). You
can change these addresses. To change MIDI address of a Control press SHIFT button and
turn TRACK knob until desired value is reached.
Example: at MIDI table X we can see Control TAP assign MIDI 03. If we want to change the

B - INTERNAL MENU
MIDI address press SHIFT and turn TRACK knob until desired value is reached.
Note: if you want to return to factory presets use "G. Load Defaults".
B. MIDI LED EDIT
With the menu item MIDI LED Edit it is possible to edit the LED's glowing via MIDI
parameters. Please refer to the MIDI Map in this manual.

C. REPEAT MODE
If Repeat mode has been activated "On"; only tracks from the current folder will be played.
If Repeat has been set to "Off"; it is possible to navigate all folders via the TRACK button
(20).
D. BIT RATE
Here you can determine whether the Bit Rate should be displayed or not.
Set "ON" at beat Rate menu.
E. VERSION
- CON: VerXX(Control version)
- SER: VerXX(Servo version)
- BUF: VerXX(Buffer version)
- DSP: VerXX(DSP version)
F. LOAD DEFAULT
With this adjustment it is possible to load the player's default settings. All player settings
will be set to default. Confirm the defaults via the TRACK knob (20).
G. EXIT & SAVE
In order to save the adjusted parameters and leave the menu confirm the Exit & Save
function via the Track TRACK knob (20).
