OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING!
• NEVER OPEN RADIATOR CAP WHEN VEHICLE IS HOT OR AFTER RECENT OPERATION
• ALWAYS READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE TOOL
• ALWAYS WEAR APPROPRIATE SAFETY GEAR (HAND, EYE AND EAR PROTECTION)
• DO NOT REFILL WITH ANY CORROSIVE OR SOLVENT BASED MATERIALS INTO THE TANK
• CLEAN ANY FLUID SPILLS IMMEDIATELY
• ENSURE WORKING AREA HAS ADEQUATE LIGHTING, AND IS CLEAN, DRY AND CLEAR OF UNRELATED
MATERIALS.
• DO NOT ALLOW CHILDREN, UNAUTHORIZED PERSONS OR UNTRAINED PERSONS IN WORK AREA.
• ALWAYS FOLLOW LOCAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS FOR DISPOSAL OF USED / WASTED FLUIDS AND
OR PARTS.
Leak Detector Tool / Vehicle Setup
1. Place Vehicle is in Park and Ensure Operating Temperature is Below 80 Degrees
2. Remove Radiator Cap and Drain Coolant from Radiator About 3"- 6"
3. Start Vehicle and Let Run Approximately 3 Minutes.
Tool Operation and Readings Procedure
4. Add Combustion Leak Test Fluid to Cylinder, Fill to Fluid Level Line Marked on Test Cylinder (Fig. 1). Place Test Cylinder in Radiator
Cap Opening, Place Hand Pump at Top of Leak Detector Tube with Valve End Facing Up (fig. 2).
5. While Pushing Tube Downward, Hand Pump Air into Cylinder and Begin to Watch for Color Change in Fluid, (This Could Take up to
Several Minutes Depending on How Severe the Leak is) (Fig. 3). Leak Detection Fluid Should Remain Blue in Color, if Color Changes
to Green or Yellow This is an Indication of a Combustion Leak and Should be Checked by a Qualified Mechanic.
