Transport and storage of ladders
To prevent damage, the ladder must be adequately secured during transport
(e.g. on a roof rack or in a car). The ladder should be stored standing vertically or
lying horizontally in a dry environment (secure against falling over, if necessary).
Any possibility of damage must be excluded and all parts protected against weathering.
Store the ladder so that it is protected from children at play and to prevent personal
injury (e.g. risk of tripping). Wooden ladders must be stored in a dry place and must
not be coated with opaque and damp-proof substances. The rails of the telescopic
ladder must be regularly inspected, cleaned and lubricated with a little oil to prevent
wedging when extending and retracting the ladder, ideally after every use.
Packaging and disposal
The packaging must be disposed of in accordance with the applicable regulations
and laws. At the end of its useful life, the ladder must be disposed of in accordance
with the applicable regulations.
