Use these instructions to familiarize yourself with the device before you use it for
the first time. It is absolutely essential that you observe the safety guidelines on
the proper and safe use of the device.
For safety reasons, children and young people under 16 years of age, as well as
people who cannot recognize potential hazards or who are not familiar with these
instructions, must not use this device!
Please keep these instructions in a safe place! In the event of a change of
ownership, please pass these instructions on to the new owner along with the
product.

Unpacking

If external damage that could prejudice the function of parts important for operation
are visible, you should immediately, if possible the same day, inform the carrier of
the goods (e.g. Forwarding agents, Railway or Post) of the damages and insist
on a written confirmation of damage. Then inform the supplier, who will take the
necessary steps.

Field of application

- The K1 light is suitable for underwater use or for 'dry' installation.
- In case of 'dry' installation a safe distance from combustible material of at least
15 cm must be observed.
- The light must not be covered.

Assembly and operation

- Supply of UWL K1 includes a stainless steel base and a pipe clip made of plastic
for fixing to nozzle extensions and similar.
- The UWL U5 Set 1 additionally includes a safety transformer 230 V/12 V, 20 VA
and must only be operated when using this transformer according to regulations
VDE 0551 IEC - 742, EN 60742. (It is possible to use up to 4 K1 lights on the same
transformer using the plug row SL4.)
- One transformer 20 VA is suitable for max. 4 lights K1 of 5 W each.
- The socket for the transformer and the plug row must be located dry and safe
against flooding.
