3. Untwist and remove the nebulizer top. Carefully place prescribed medication into
nebulizer cup. The AeroEclipse ® R BAN has a minimum fill of 1 ml and a maximum
fill of 6 ml of liquid. There are milliliter markings on the side of the nebulizer to assist in
the measuring of your medication.
Correct
4. Reattach the nebulizer top, making sure to line up the white cylinder with the stem on
the nebulizer cup; gently hand tighten.
5. Attach one end of the supplied tubing to the fitting on the bottom of the nebulizer and
the other end to your compressor. Be sure both ends of the tubing are secure.
Nebulizer Treatment:
1. Always follow your physician's or healthcare provider's treatment directions.
2. While sitting in a comfortable, upright position turn on your compressor. The device
may be used with a compressor capable of delivering a flow of 2.75 to 8 lpm under an
operating pressure of 15 to 50 psi. You should be able to find this information in the
compressor user manual.
3. Place the mouthpiece in your mouth, being sure not to cover the exhalation valve
with your lips.
4. Inhale slowly and deeply. As you breathe in, the green button on top of the nebulizer
will move into the "down" position indicating the AeroEclipse ® R BAN is producing
aerosol in response to your inhalation. Exhale normally through the device. The green
button will return to the "up" position when you are not inhaling and will not produce
aerosol. This is normal.
5. If you are unable to trigger the device during inhalation (unable to get the green button
to go "down" when you breathe in) it can be manually operated by depressing/
releasing the green button in coordination with your breathing in and out.
6. Continue to breathe normally using the nebulizer until it begins to make a "sputter"
noise or as instructed by your physician or healthcare provider.
7. Turn off the compressor when finished with your treatment.
