4.2 System Limits

Operating limits are set by the safety valves, which always act passively. Heat transfer fluid characteristics enable an
operating range of -35 ºC / +140ºC [at 3 bar].
• Max. P. solar circuit: 3 bar
• Max. P. DHW circuit: 4.5 bar
• Max. Temp DHW circuit: 95ºC
When the system is not being used, the tank must be kept full and the shut-off valve open. If the
tank is empty, the system must be covered with a tarpaulin or other secure opaque material.
• Heat Transfer Fluid min. temp.: -35ºC
• Heat Transfer Fluid boiling Temp. at 3 bar: 140ºC
• Stagnation temp. above ambient temp: 105ºC

4.3 System performance

a) The load range recommended for the system (l/day) 150 l/day at 45 ºC
b) Details of long-term thermal efficiency and solar fraction calculated from the test for load volumes of 150 l/day for
reference locations and terms in the EN12976 standard:
System performance indicators only from solar or pre-heating on an annual
basis for a demand volume of:

c) The total solar radiation on the collector plane during the protection test for excess temperature was 106.0 MJ/m
reaching a maximum output temperature in the solar output of 69.3 ºC.
When the system operates several days without water extraction until a solar radiation level accumulated on the collector
plane greater than 106.0 MJ/m
draws water automatically protecting the system.

4.4 Electricity consumption

OKSOL-150 does not require an external electricity supply, as the photovoltaic cell supplies and autonomously
regulates the circulation pump.

PROPER USE AND RECOMMENDATIONS

The solar system aims to use the energy provided by the sun to produce DHW. In accordance with applicable legislation
the installer must connect it to an auxiliary system that can provide the necessary energy in the event of a deficit in the solar
system. Although DHW consumption for single-family dwellings is put by CTE at 30 l/person a days, family customs are very
important and the rational use they make of it. Not only in terms of water savings but also auxiliary energy consumption
(boiler).
The temperature in the collector's integrated tank can oscillate, depending on consumption and climate amongst other
factors, and can reach up to 95ºC during periods of low consumption. When the system is not being used, the tank must
be kept full and the shut-off valve open. If the tank is empty, the system must be covered with a tarpaulin or other secure
opaque material.
