The following machine identification data are shown on the plate placed underneath the machine's standing base:
• manufacturer and CE mark
• model (Mod.)
• serial number (SN)
• electrical supply voltage (V) and frequency (Hz)
• absorbed electric power (W)
• assistance toll-free number
Always give the model and serial number to the Authorised Service Centres when requesting assistance.

Automatic safety settings
The appliance can operate only with the jug and tea pot correctly inserted.
If the jug or tea pot is removed while the water is heating, the appliance stops working. The operation light (G) blinks red. The
appliance automatically switches off after 10 minutes. Put the jug or tea pot back in to resume water heating.
If the jug or tea pot is removed during tea infusion, the hot plate stops working. The operation light (G) blinks red. The timer
continues to operate. The appliance does not heat the tea pot before the tea comes out of the jug.
The appliance automatically turns off 1 hour after the tea has gone into the tea pot.
using the appliance for the first time
Check that the voltage of the domestic network is the same as that indicated on the technical information plate of the appli-
ance. Place the machine on a flat and steady surface.
Warning!
Do not place the appliance close to or on top of hot electric or gas cookers, or close to a microwave oven.
Prevent the cord from protruding beyond the edge of the table or surface, or from touching hot surfaces, including
cookers.
Position the tea filter in the jug without the funnel. Close the tea pot and jug with their lids. Place the tea pot in the lower
compartment of the machine, and the jug in the upper compartment (Fig. 6).
starting the first time
Warning!
Be sure to unplug the appliance before pouring water into the tank.
Check that the ON button has not been accidentally pressed before plugging in or unplugging the appliance.
Fill the water tank with 1 litre of cool tap water (Fig. 2). NEVER fill the tank beyond the level marked "MAXI".
Open the tank lid (Fig. 3).
Insert the plug into the socket, which must be earthed.
Start up the appliance by pressing button (F) (Fig. 8). The light (G) will turn on to indicate that the appliance is on. Turn the
time to 2 (Fig. 9). Within a shor time the water will start to boil and will run down into the jug. Wait for the water to go into
the tea pot.
Turn off the appliance. Let it cool for 5 minutes. Repeat the operation with another litre of water. After dispensing the second
time, turn off the appliance. The appliance is ready for use after cooling.
hOW TO MAke TeA
if it is the first time it is turned on, or after a long period of non-use, boil at least 1 litre of water in the kettle as
described in the paragraph "starting the first time" two times.
Open the lid (A) and fill the tank with the desired amount of water (from 0.4 ml to 1 l) (Fig. 2). Close the cover of the tank
until you hear a click (Fig. 3). Place the funnel on the tea filter (Fig. 4). Pour the desired amount of tea into the filter (Fig. 5).
You can use leaf tea or a teabag. Remove the funnel and place the filter with the tea in the jug. Close the jug with the lid
and put it in the upper compartment of the appliance (Fig. 6). Put the tea pot in the lower compartment with the lid closed.
Plug into the mains socket.
Adjust the timer to set the desired infusion time (from 2 to 16 minutes) (Fig. 9). Press the switch (F) to turn on the appliance
(Fig. 8). The operation light (G) turns on red and steady.
The water will be brought to a boil and will automatically flow into the jug. The hot plate heats the tea pot for a few minutes.
Once the infusion time has elapsed, the tea will be filtered and will flow into the tea pot. The operation light (G) turns green.
The tea is ready. The hot plate will keep the tea hot up to one hour.
