ROUTING
Hold the router with both hands during operation!
• Install appropriate cutter bit (see above instructions).
• Put the base (5) on material that you plan to process (the cutter bit
must not touch the material at this time).
• Set routing depth.
• Switch on the router and wait until the spindle achieves the preset
idle speed.
• Start working, move the router base along the processed material
surface in desired direction.
• Move the router in steady, continuous movement, pressing the base
to the material surface all the time until you finish routing.
Too fast router advance during operation will result in low quality
of cutting and may cause damage of cutter bit or motor. Too slow
router advance may also result in low quality of cut due to material
overheating. Appropriate speed depends on size of the cutter
bit in use, type of processed material and processing depth. It
is recommended to make some tries on waste material before
commencing the planned work. During edge processing, the
processed material should be at the left side from the cutter bit axis
(looking in the direction of the router advance).
When you use linear guide for linear processing or trimming, ensure
that additional accessories are well fixed
ROUTING DIRECTION
To avoid uneven edges and achieve best results of work, move the
router counter-clockwise for outer edges and clockwise for inner edges
(fig. F). Having better control over the material and the tool itself
requires processing in the direction that is opposite to the direction of
the working tool
INSTALLATION OF THE EDGE GUIDE
Edge guide is used for cutting at even distance from an edge of
reference. Special design allows for use at processing edges (fig. G)
or routing at a constant distance, parallel to an edge (fig. H).
• Put the guide plate (20) onto the edge guide (3) (fig. I).
• Use the screws (21) to join the edge guide bars (4) with the edge guide
(3) (fig. J).
• Loosen the locking knobs for edge guide bars (2) located in the router
base.
• Slide the edge guide bars (4) into the holes and set appropriate
distance.
• Tighten the locking knobs for edge guide bars (2) to fix the edge guide
(3).
INSTALLATION OF GUIDE SLEEVE
Guide sleeve allows for precise run of the router along a template
edge and precise copying of its shape.
• Undo the adapter fixing screws to remove the dust extraction adapter
(15).
• Place the guide sleeve (22) in the router base (5) seating.
• Install the dust extraction adapter (15) and tighten two parts with the
adapter fixing screws (fig. K)
Using guide sleeve puts a limit to allowable cutter bit size.
Distance from the cutter bit edge and outer edge of the guide sleeve
collar (22) defines difference in dimensions of the template and its
reproduction after routing with the copying sleeve. Change of
working diameter of the cutter bit will change this difference. The
copying sleeve (22) can be used with templates of at least 8 mm
thickness.
USE OF GUIDING ROLLER
Guiding roller facilitates arc routing, while maintaining defined
distance.
• Use screws to attach the guiding roller (23) to the edge guide (3)
(fig. L).
• Install the edge guide bars (4) in the router base (define depth)
(fig. M).
ROUTING ALONG AN ARC
• Tighten the butterfly nut of the spike (25) to install the spike (24) in
the edge guide hole (3).
• Remove the edge guide (3) from the router base if installed for edge
routing.
• Slide the edge guide (3) in upside down position, with the spike (24)
pointing down (fig. N).
• Set the routing radius and fix the locking knobs for edge guide bars
(2).
• Drive the spike (24) into material and then you can start routing along
an arc (fig. O)
To define routing radius, measure distance from the centre marker to the
outer edge of the cutter bit

OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE

Unplug the power cord from mains socket before commencing any
activities related to installation, adjustment, repair or maintenance
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
• Cleaning the device after each use is recommended.
• Do not use water or any other liquid for cleaning.
• Clean the tool with a brush or blow through with compressed air at
low pressure.
• Do not use any cleaning agents or solvents, since they may damage
plastic parts.
• Clean ventilation holes in the motor casing regularly to prevent device
overheating.
• In case of power cord damage replace it with a cord with the same
specification. Entrust the repair to a qualified specialist or return the
tool to a service point.
• In case of excessive commutator sparking, have the technical
condition of carbon brushes of the motor checked by a qualified
person.
• Always store the tool in a dry place, beyond reach of children.
REPLACEMENT OF CARBON BRUSHES
Immediately replace worn out (shorter than 5 mm), burnt or
cracked motor carbon brushes. Always replace both carbon brushes
at a time.
• Unscrew and remove the carbon brush covers (13) (fig. P).
• Remove worn out carbon brushes.
• Remove any carbon dust with compressed air.
• Insert new carbon brushes (fig. R) (brushes should easily move into
brush-holders).
• Fix carbon brush covers (13).
After replacement of carbon brushes, start the tool with no load
and wait 1–2 minutes until the carbon brushes fit to the motor
commutator. Entrust replacement of carbon brushes only to a
qualified person. Use only original parts.
All defects should be repaired by service workshop authorized by the
manufacturer.
