• Remove the solar module from the lamp unit.
• Pull the orange-marked foil strip out of your SKIPPER.
☞
Your SKIPPER is now ready for operation.
• Screw the suspension hook to the upright poles.
WARNING! Contact with hidden lines can lead to severe injury or even
death! Please ensure while digging and boring holes that you do not hit
any hidden lines.
• Drive the ground spike into the ground.
• Put the pole into the ground spike.
• Fit the lamp unit with the lug into the suspension hook.
ERECTION
Select a location for erection with as much exposure to solar radiation as
possible and put SKIPPER into the ground. Do not place the SKIPPER in the
shade of trees, bushes, or buildings, as this reduces the battery charge.
POWER
The power of your SKIPPER depends on the time of year. SKIPPER is ready
for operation longer in summer than in winter.
How long SKIPPER shines at night depends on how long SKIPPER was
exposed to direct solar radiation during the day. For example, when the sky is
overcast, less solar energy is available to load the rechargeable battery.
During the following night, the duration of emission of light of SKIPPER is
therefore shorter.
The duration of emission of light is strongly limited on winter days due to
lower exposure to solar radiation.
☞
NOTE: Clean the solar module regularly with a damp towel to guarantee
optimum performance of the solar cells. Do not use any solvents for cleaning. Do
not exert any pressure on the solar module during cleaning.
