6. Cleaning and descaling

WARNING!
Before cleaning disconnect the device from the power
supply (pull the plug!) and wait for cooling down.
Do not use pressurized water jest for cleaning!
Protect the device from the water penetration.
o Clean the device regularly.
o Remove the individual elements (lid, glass cylinder, basket, separating mesh, bottom
mesh, and water tray) from the device and wash them in warm water with use of soft
cloth or sponge and gentle cleaning agent.
o Then rinse them in clean water to remove the cleaning agent residuals. Finally dry
them with soft dishcloth.
Caution: Due to hygiene reasons, clean the water tray at least twice a day!
Adverse water properties and salts, fat and spices from the sausages may
contribute to aggressive water content that may even react chemically with metal.
Therefore the water tray should be descaled once a day; otherwise the pits
may occur. Use the commercially available descaling agents (follow the
manufacturer's instructions!) or water and vinegar solution (in 3:1 ratio).
CAUTION!
Lack of regular descaling of the hot-dog machine as set forth in the instruction
manual– may constitute a ground for – rejecting warranty claims.
Such claims are not covered by the warranty!
o Wipe the device housing with soft, moistened cloth.
o Always use the soft cloth only, never use any abrasive cleaning agents which may
damage the device surface.
o Finally dry and polish the surface with soft dry cloth.
Storing the device
o If the device is not used for a long time, clean it according to the above description
and store in a dry, clean place, protected against cold, sun and, children.
Do not place any heavy objects on the device.
