OnneCting and
Connect Sources and Audio Devices
Make the connections to the EP22-D before the power is applied.
• The inputs are balanced so check output type used by the source
to learn how to connect it correctly (see Hardware Connections
section). Attach audio sources to the inputs.
• The outputs are balanced so check input type on audio device to
to learn how to connect it correctly (see Hardware Connections
section). Attach outputs to audio devices.
Powering Using PoE
Attach the Dante network port to a spare PoE-enabled port on a
PoE switch using a CAT-5 cable. If a midspan injector is being used,
connect a spare input port to the Dante network switch using a CAT-5
cable, and then connect the corresponding output port to the Dante
network port on the EP22-D.
Powering Using an Optional External Power Supply
• Attach the Dante network port to a spare port on the Dante network
switch using a CAT-5 cable.
• Attach the 12 V DC power supply to the power input jack and then
power up the external supply.
The front power LED will be illuminated once power is correctly applied.
