Observe the maximum output specifica-
tions for the system when connecting li-
ghts to the X35 system. Connecting lights
of greater output may make the system to
give out an illumination error.

The lights on Gain, both front and rear, are programmed as running lights, so they will turn on automatically
when the bicycle is switched on and will turn off when the bicycle is switched off.
Once the bicycle has been turned on, the lights can be switched off using the Iwoc One following the me-
thod described in the X35 operation section of this manual.
However, if the user prefers the lights not to turn on upon turning on the bicycle, this behaviour can be
modified by an Orbea dealer using the Mahle Ebikemotion Dealer App.

Always take the necessary precautions when
working with electric components to avoid elec-
tric shocks and damage to the components.
Connect all components in the correct way
to avoid short circuits and exposure to ele-
ments. Cover any crimped cable connections
(if there were any) with heat shrink tubing or
electrical tape to avoid short circuits.

The installation or replacement of the lights ca-
ble on Gain Carbon requires the removal and
installation of the fork.
Remove the fork off the bicycle and the headset
to access the connection between the lights cable
and the battery cable through the head tube.
Removing and installing the fork and the headset
requires advanced mechanical skills and may the-
refore be beyond the knowledge of most users.
To replace the lights cable on Gain Carbon, take
your bike to an authorized Orbea dealer.
The incorrect assembly of key components of
the bicycle may cause accidents and serious in-
juries, and produce damage to the components
that may not be covered by the warranty.
