Diagnosis & Cause
Is the power plug connected
properly in the power socket?
Is the On/Off switch set to
OFF?
Is the function switch set to it
AUTO position?
Has the device been assembled
properly?
Does the motor fail to start
when paper is inserted?
Internal sensor is covered by
residual paper or is soiled.
Was the device shutdown for a
longer time? Is the surface of
the device warm? The
permissible operating cycle has
probably been exceeded.
Have you exceeded the
permissible material
(refer to Chapter "Technical
Data")? Has the material been
fed in askew?
Solution
Connect the power plug to the
power socket properly.
Set the On/Off switch to its ON
position.
Set the function switch to its
middle position to the AUTO
function.
Ensure that the waste bin has
been inserted properly.
Slide the material to be
shredded in the respective
infeed slot so that it makes
contact with the sensor in the
middle.
Set the function switch to the
REV setting so that the cutting
mechanism runs in reverse,
releasing the material and
feeding the jammed material
back out.
First of all, disconnect the
power plug from the power
socket and allow the motor to
cool down to room temperature.
For information on the operating
cycle, refer to Chapter
"Technical Data".
Clear the material jam, refer to
Chapter "Clearing a material
jam".
