STARTUP
WARNING:
5.1 Connect the batteries, the panels and press the RESTART key.
5.2 Set TC and R1 at maximum and VM at minimum. Short circuit the safety devices and the control hold down
e and keep 1-2 open. Select desired movement direction.
5.3 Power and check that the barrier functions correctly, with a sequence of open and close command or step-
by-step. The first opening and closing to be made at low speed in order to learn the end-of-travel positions
(acquisition phase). Set VM and check opening and closing speeds.
5.4 Remove the jumpers and connect the safety devices (1-8) and control hold down (1-9) Check their function.
5.5 If desired, connect 1-2 and adjust the automatic closure with TC. Warning: the automatic closure time
after the operation of one of the safety devices is half the set time.
5.6 Set the obstacle detection sensitivity with R1.
5.7 Connect any accessories and check their function.
5.8 Re-close the container by means of the 4 screws, taking care to properly position the cover (lower side =
Devoid of gasket).
Warning: If the barrier not moving fails to come on after a 30-3 or 30-4 command is given, press the RESTART
button. If the problem persists, check battery and recharge if need be.
With adequate solar radiation, the panels start charging the batteries and the electric panel latches on automatically.
If battery charge falls below 20 volts for 90 seconds, the batteries are automatically disconnected from the
electric panel. The batteries are automatically reconnected upon the batteries being charged to more that 23
volts by the solar panels.
In case of malfunction, check that no-load voltage at battery ends is at least 24 volts.
Warning In case of battery charge dropping to below the required level even occasionally, the solar panels
installed are probably inadequate for the solar radiation conditions prevailing in the area. See "SELECTION
CRITERIA" in SOLARKS instructions.
