4.11 ROLLER-SCRAPER PLATES
The soil scraper has the scraper plates (1 Fig.22) made of wear-
proof material to clean caked soil from the roller.
They are installed on shaped supports fi xed to the rear bar of the
roller.
Correct assembly is achieved by mounting the scraper plates on
the soil scraper, and tightening the bolt (2 Fig.23) to fi x the plate to
the desired distance from the roller.
The recommended distance between the scraper plate and
the roller is 2/3 mm.
CAUTELA
It is advisable to adjust the roller scraper plates during the
fi rst 100-150 m of work, nearing them gradually to the roller
to exercise a perfect cleaning operation.
4.12 ADJUSTMENT OF THE DOUBLE REAR
BONNET
The double rear bonnets offer the possibility to have different set-
tings, ensuring excellent results in all ground conditions.
The new system allows an adjustment of the bonnets by means
of the mechanical jacks accompanied by a graduated rod for the
position control. (3 Fig.24)
Lifting the rear bonnets, a lower refi ning and leveling of the ground
will be achieved (recommended on wet soils), lowering them you
will get a more refi ned and leveled ground (recommended on dry
soils), but also a greater power consumption.
Adjust the working depth and the height of the double rear bonnets
according on the type of worked soil, and on the result needed to
be achieved.
4.13 CONVEYORS
Function of the conveyor (4 Fig.27) is to hold the soil inside the
rotary hoes' chamber, to work it better, and avoid leaving accu-
mulations of it at the sides of the machine. It also has a protective
function, as it obstructs the clearance between the leveling plates
and the external side.
4.14 TRASMISSIONE LATERALE
Trasmissione laterale ad ingranaggi
Il rotore è azionato da una serie di ingranaggi laterali (Fig. 28)
alloggiati in un apposito carter con pareti consistenti in grado di
fornire una notevole robustezza alla trasmissione.
