For manual use, it is vital that the second handle is used;
This must be fixed securely to the neck.
The machine has a very high torque, especially in speed 1. You
must therefore apply your full concentration for manual use,
especially with a diameter of over 70 mm and follow all the usage
!
precautions.
We recommend that you use the Virax centring bit (ref. 050158) for
drilling with a diameter over 82 mm in brick or breeze block.
Do not drill reinforced concrete above 82 mm by hand.
Failure to respect these instructions may result in injury to the user
for which Virax may not be held responsible.
If the core bit locks up suddenly, the machine may be ripped out of your
hands despite the safety coupling and you may be injured.
•
Adapt the forward movement to the core bit diameter and the machine power.
Take note of the LED in the handle (see the overload protection section).
•
If the drilling tool locks up, do not try to release by switching the machine off
and back on again. Power down the machine immediately and loosen the core
bit by turning it to the right or the left using an adapted open-ended spanner
while removing the machine carefully from the drilling hole.
