IV – Use on support stand
A – Attachment to the support stand
The Virax core drill is secured to the Virax support
stand Ref. 050111, via a quick connection system
1 – Slide the Virax core drill into the housing
2 – Tighten using the side tightening lever.
Core drilling on this support stand is only possible up to
a diameter of 152 mm.
Please refer to the support stand's specific user manual for all the settings
necessary and for the correct attachment to the support stand.
Do not drill with the stand if it has not been stabilised!
B – Dry drilling (masonry work)
We strongly recommend that you use the dust vacuum mechanism associated with
a dust vacuum machine (reference available from Virax).
1 – Set the speed selector to the required position
2 – The trigger allows for slow start-up to enable effective core drilling.
3 – Work at maximum power by pushing the trigger in fully; you may use the locking
button.
C – Wet drilling (reinforced concrete)
1 – Connect the water intake tap to a manual or electric water pump pipe
(references available from Virax).
2 – Set the speed selector to the required position
3 – Open the tap and start up the machine.
4 – The trigger allows for slow start-up to enable effective core drilling.
5 – Work at maximum power by pushing the trigger in fully; you may use the locking
button.
If you want to keep a clean surface, fix the Virax water collector (ref. 050112),
associated with a water vacuum (reference available from Virax) to the support
stand.
