dust mask for work that generates dust,
protective gloves for working with rough
materials and for changing tools.
Grip the electric power tool securely so
that your body never comes into contact
with the operating tool, especially when
working with saw blades or cutting tools
directed towards the grip area, for exam

can result in injuries.
After machining materials that contain
gypsum: Clean the vents of the power tool
and on/off switch using dry, oil-free com

housing and on the on/off switch and hard

Health hazard by dust

WARNING! various dust created by pow
er sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling and
other construction activities contains chemicals
known (to the State of California) to cause can
cer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.
Some examples of these chemicals are:
lead from lead-based paints,
crystalline silica from bricks and cement
and other masonry products, and
arsenic and chromium from chemically
treated lumber.
The risk from these exposures varies, depend
ing on how often you do this type of work. To re
duce your exposure to these chemicals: work in
a well ventilated area, and work with approved
safety equipment, such as dust masks that are
specially designed to filter out microscopic par
ticles. Wash hands after handling.
