USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
Carry out an "empty" cooking cycle so as to remove any smell and smoke from the protective coat-
ings applied to metal parts:
- switch on the oven by rotating the timer dial (H) to 15 minutes and set the dial (G) on the highest
temperature;
- leave the appliance to operate with the door open in a well-aired environment.
During this operation, it is usual for smoke to come off metal parts and side openings. After this
operation, ventilate the room.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
- Prepare food to be cooked by positioning it on the grill (B) or inside the drip pan (C).
- Turn the dial (G) to set the required cooking temperature.
- Place the grill (B) with the previously prepared food into the oven at the required cooking level (E),
by using the suitable fork (B) (Fig. 2).
In case of food prepared in the drip pan (C), insert the grill (B) into the oven first, and then position
the drip pan itself on it (C) (Fig. 3).
WARNING: Place food at a minimum distance of 2 cm. from the top heating elements.
- Plug in appliance and select cooking time according to food to be prepared by means of the dial
(H). At this stage, the oven starts cooking and the temperature light (I) switches on; it switches off
when reaching the set temperature or if the dial (H) is manually reset to "0" position.
WARNING: Monitor food while cooking.
- At the end of the cooking time, the oven stops automatically, sending out an alarm.
- Unplug the appliance, open the door and remove the grill (B) or the drip pan (C) using the appropri-
ate fork (B) or suitable oven gloves to prevent burns.
CLEANING
- Frequent cleaning prevents the formation of smoke and unpleasant odours during cooking.
- The oven has a crumb tray door which needs to be cleaned after every use, once the oven has
cooled down completely: turn the appliance upside down and use the special knob to open the
drawer, lifting it gently upwards (Fig. 4). Wipe clean with a damp sponge and remove any residues
of food, crumbs, etc.
