Cutting line replacement

WARNING. Switch off the grass trimmer and remove the battery before replacing the
cutting line.
Do not use cutting lines other than those specified by the manufacturer (see Information
about the power tool).
Do not use reinforced cutting lines.
1. Turn the grass trimmer upside down.
2. Rotate the trimmer head cap (26) anticlockwise and remove it.
3. Take out the spool (24). The spring (23) should stay inside the cutting head.
4. Cut the plastic band on the spool to access the cutting line guides.
5. Fold the cutting line in half to create the loop in the middle and insert the loop into the
notch in the split wall.
6. Wind the cutting line tightly and evenly- upper line on the upper guide, lower line on
the lower guide. Leave about 10 cm of cutting line on both sides.
7. Insert both line ends into the holding slots in the spool.
8. Put the spool back in the cutting head: pass the two line ends through the eyelets in the
cutting head housing. The cutting line should protrude from the housing.
9. Push the spool onto the spring.
10. Pull both line ends to release them from the holding slots.
11. Push the spool into the cutting head housing, put the cap back on and turn it clockwise
so that it locks in place (you will hear a click).

The grass trimmer has a semi-automatic line feed. When the cutting line is too short or worn
out, tap the cutting line feed mechanism (25) on the ground (it has to be a hard surface).
The cutting line will advance. It will be cut to the appropriate length by the blade located in
the protection guard housing.
WARNING. Keep your hands and other body parts away from the blade! Risk of serious
injury!
Edging
WARNING. Make sure that the side wheel is fitted to the grass trimmer.
This grass trimmer can be used in edging mode to trim overhanging grass along lawn
edges or flower beds. To set the grass trimmer in edging position turn the trimmer head
maximally left and lower it down maximally.
Switching the power tool on and off
The power tool has been equipped with the ON/OFF switch with lock what prevents
accidental starting.
• To switch on the power tool, press and hold the lock-on button (2).
