SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR LAWN MOWERS USE
Operating safety of mains powered lawn mowers in practice
1. Instructions
a. Read instructions carefully. Familiarize yourself with control systems
and proper use of the equipment.
b. Never let children and persons unfamiliar with the device
instruction manual to operate the device. Local country regulations
may define limits for age of operator.
c. Never mow when other persons, especially children, or animals are
close by.
d. Bear in mind that the operator or user is responsible for any accident
or emerging hazards to other persons or surrounding.
2. Preparation
a. When mowing always wear sturdy shoes and long trousers. Do
not use the tool barefoot or when wearing open sandals. Avoid
damaged clothes that is too loose or with hanging strips or ribbons.
b. Carefully check area that you plan to work on with the device,
remove all objects that could get into the device.
c. Before using the tool always check that blades, bolts and blade
unit equipment are not worn or damaged. Replace worn out
or damaged parts in pairs or sets to maintain balance. Replace
damaged or illegible labels.
d. Before use check power cord and extension cord for damages
and wear. In case the power cord gets damaged during operation,
disconnect it from power supply. DO NOT TOUCH POWER CORD
BEFORE DISCONNECTING FROM THE POWER SUPPLY. Do not use
the device with damaged or broken power cord.
3. Use
a. Mow only in daylight or good illuminated places.
b. Avoid cutting wet grass.
c. When standing on a sloped terrain always ensure you stand firmly
on the ground.
d. Walk, never run.
e. Cut only crosswise a slope, never up or down.
f. Be very careful when changing direction of movement on a sloped
terrain.
g. Do not mow overly sloped lawns.
h. Be very careful when moving back or pulling the tool to yourself.
i. Switch off the cutting assembly drive when the device is to be tilted
when moving on surfaces other than grass, or when it is carried to
place of work and back.
j. Do not use the tool with damaged guard or body and without
protective elements, such as attached guards and/or grass
container.
k. Make sure your feet are away from the cutting assembly and only
then switch on the motor as described in the manual.
l. Do not tilt the tool when starting the motor except for devices that
specifically require to be tilted during start-up. In such case do not
tilt more than necessary and lift only the part that is away from the
tool operator.
m. Do not start the device when standing before exhaust hole.
n. Keep your hands and feet away from rotating parts. Make sure the
exhaust hole is not clogged or obstructed at all times.
o. Do not carry the device with the motor switched on.
p. Stop the device and remove the plug from the socket. Make sure
that all moving parts are stopped:
– whenever you go away from the device,
– before cleaning or unclogging exhaust,
– before checking, cleaning or repairing the device,
– after the device is hit. Make sure the device is not damaged and
repair it in authorized service when necessary. Only then you can
start and operate the device again. When the tool starts to vibrate
excessively (check immediately):
– check for damages,
– replace or repair any damaged part,
– check and tighten parts that have loosened.
4. Maintenance and storage
a. Keep in good condition all nuts, bolts and screws to be sure the tool
operates safely.
b. Often check grass container against wear and damage.
c. Be very careful when using a multi-blade tool, because turning one
blade may cause other blades to turn as well.
d. Be careful when adjusting the device and avoid putting your fingers
between moving blades and fixed parts of the tool.
e. Always leave the tool to cool down before starting it again.
f. Stay alert at all times during operation, even when the drive is off,
because blades may still be rotating.
g. To keep the operation safe, replace worn out or damaged parts. Use
only original spare parts and equipment.
5. Guidelines for class II devices
Supply power to the tool only with a residual current device (RCD) with
tripping current not exceeding 30 mA.

CONSTRUCTION AND USE
The lawn mower is a device with insulation class II. It is driven by single-
phase AC commutator motor. The lawn mower is designed for mowing
lawn in home garden. Use accessories only designed for this type of
device and follow all instructions contained in the manual. Mow grass
in even strips. Mower can be pushed or pulled. Mower is intended for
amateur use only.
Use the power tool according to the manufacturer's instructions
only.
