1. Connections

consequences!
1.1 Power and loudspeaker con-
nections
The device must be connected to your
vehicle using the enclosed connection
cable (8 619 003 044) and an adapt-
er cable specific for your vehicle
(see Fig. 1).
Note: An adapter cable specific for
the vehicle must also be used even
if the vehicle is already fitted with
ISO connectors.
1.2 Additional free connections
The connecting leads described below
must, if necessary, be separately con-
nected to the corresponding connec-
tions on the vehicle (see Fig. 1).

1.3 Centre loudspeaker (only
Chicago IVDM-7003)
The centre loudspeaker is connected
through the two black leads 5
(see Fig. 1).
Your dealer can tell you about availa-
ble centre loudspeakers.
1.4 Connect the handbrake signal
Install a cable from the handbrake
switch to the connection on the con-
trol unit 1
1 (see Fig. 1). Ensure that

the connection is earthed when the
handbrake is on.
1.5 Ignition positive for amplifier
Take a cable from the connection 2
to the positive ignition connection of the
amplifier (or amplifiers) (see Fig. 1).
1.6 RC 10 connection (accesso-
ries)
The receiver sensor for the optional
remote control RC 10 is connected to
the monitor unit through the enclosed
adapter 8 619 002 421 (see Fig. 2).
