5.1.3 Activating / Deactivating the scan function
indication
When the scan function is activated, the receiver
will check during channel selection (
5 1 1) if this frequency is already being used for
transmission (meanwhile the display will show
) If the frequency is already being used,
the next interference-free channel will automat-
ically be selected
To be selected with the button
function activated
To be selected with the button
function deactivated
Press the button SET to save the setting
5.1.4 Activating / Deactivating the attenuation
for the XLR output
indication
To connect the XLR output (9) of the receiver unit
to a microphone input, the signal level of this
output can be attenuated by 20 dB
To be selected with the button
attenuation activated
To be selected with the button
attenuation deactivated
Press the button SET to save the setting
5.1.5 Setting the squelch value
indication
The threshold value for the squelch function is
adjustable This function will mute the receiver
unit when the level of the radio signal falls below
the threshold value Thus, interference signals will
not cause noise when the transmitter is switched
off or when its radio signal is poor: If the levels of
the interference signals are below the threshold
value, the receiver unit will be muted
A high threshold value offers high interfer-
ence resistance, but it will also reduce the trans-
mission range: If the strength of the radio signal
from the transmitter falls below the value ad-
justed, the receiver unit will also be muted
The threshold value is factory-set to 0 To change
the value, use the button
range: −5 ... +10); to save the changed value,
press the button SET

5.2 Menu section TX (transmitter)
The menu section TX is indicated by
the button SET to select the menu item desired
5.2.1 Activating / Deactivating the attenuation
for the microphone input
indication
When a pocket transmitter is used for signal
transmission, the microphone input of the pocket
transmitter can be attenuated by 20 dB (if the
microphone level is too high even though the
sensitivity has been set to a low value) This menu
item is without any function when a wireless
hand-held microphone is used
To be selected with the button
attenuation activated
To be selected with the button
attenuation deactivated
Press the button SET to save the setting
5.2.2 Adjusting the audio sensitivity
indication
The audio sensitivity of the transmitter can be
adjusted in steps of 3 dB from −15 dB to +15 dB
(factory setting: 0 dB) Use the button
adjust the sensitivity in such a way that an opti-
mum volume level of the transmitter is obtained:
When the volume is too high, the audio signal
will distort; in this case, adjust a lower value
When the volume is too low, there will be a
poor signal-to-noise ratio; in this case, adjust
a higher value
Press the button SET to save the setting
5.2.3 Activating automatic switch-off
indication
The transmitter can be set in such a way that it
will, when muted, automatically switch off after a
specific time The following settings are available:
no automatic switch-off
automatic switch-off after 1 minute
automatic switch-off after 10 minutes
automatic switch-off after 30 minutes
The switch-off time is factory-set to 10 minutes
To change the value, use the button
