Safety Instructions
Verify if the voltage and amperage of the power supply source corresponds to
the iron before connecting.
Be sure to always place the iron on the iron rest.
Do not place the iron on its back, it may cause injury to the operator or damage
the iron.
After use, make sure to close the Water Control Valve on the Water Tank.
Unplug the power cord and wait for the iron to cool down before attempting to
troubleshoot the iron.
C. TROUBLESHOOTING
IMPORTANT
Be sure to unplug the power cord and to close the Water Control Valve.
Wait for the iron to cool down before attempting to troubleshoot the iron.
Only skilled technicians should attempt any repairs on the iron.
Problem: The iron is releasing a burning odor when first set up.
Solution:
You may experience some smoke and odor when first used. This is normal and
is not considered as defect. A solution applied on the unit to aid the factory
during assembly will disappear after few days of initial use. This will not re-occur.
Problem: The iron is not releasing any steam or the steam flow is not
sufficient.
Solution:
Check if the Water Control Valve is open.
Check if the Water Tank is located 3ft high
above the iron.
Check if the hose was setup straight as
the length may affect the gravity if not set
properly. Cut and adjust the hose length if
necessary.
Check if the steam orifices on the base aren't clogged. Clean them using a
Cleaning Pick (Included in the Repair Kit).
Check if the Solenoid Valve is working. You should hear a
"clack" from the valve whenever the Thumb Switch is
pressed. If not clicking, re-install the plunger and replace the
spring by opening the Cover Nut (Included in the Repair Kit).
IMPORTANT
Make sure the plunger and the spring stays together all
the time. The spring must be inserted first into the
plunger's orifice at the bottom. Tilt the iron to the right
when putting them back inside the Solenoid Valve.
