THRU 1 & THRU 2 OUTPUT JACKS
The balanced XLR outputs THRU 1 & THRU 2 are parallel connections to the respective INPUT 1 and
INPUT 2. The level controls for INPUT 1 & INPUT 2 will not affect the signal on the direct output
connection.

MIX OUTPUT
This connection is designed to provide an output which combines all three input channels together
for connecting to another CVX powered speaker or a recording device. This output is not affected
by changes to the MAIN LEVEL knob but is affected by the levels set on each channel GAIN knob.
(H) MAIN LEVEL KNOB & REMOTE VOLUME CONTROL
It is highly recommended to have the MAIN LEVEL set to the minimum (MIN) level upon initial system
start‐up and it can be adjusted two different ways. On the MAIN LEVEL knob, volume is increased in
a clockwise rotation and decreased in a counter‐clockwise rotation. Another method to control the
volume is by using the REMOTE connection. A removable three‐terminal jack can be wired over long
distances to a remote volume control device with a corresponding connection.

INDI CATORS
Three indicators provide operating condition status:
1)
The POWER indicator (green) will illuminate when power is properly applied to the CVX
speaker and the main power switch is ON.
2)
The CLIP indicator (yellow) will illuminate when the CVX speaker automatically reduces
the sound output to prevent damage to the speaker. While the CVX speaker is producing
sound, it is suggested to reduce the volume level so the CLIP indicator does not illuminate.
Continuing use of the CVX speaker while this indicator is illuminated may result in a
PROTECT condition where no sound can be produced. Note, upon initial power up the
indicator will blink. This is normal behavior.
3)
The PROTECT indicator (red) will illuminate when the CVX speaker automatically places
itself into a condition where sound output is shutoff. This condition may be the result of
excessive limiting, an excessive heat condition, or a low voltage condition. These
conditions all can cause significant damage to the product.

CUSTOM FEATURES
MAI N/MONITOR MODE
The CVX‐10/CVX‐15 powered speaker has a switch for selecting which operational mode the speaker
is in: MAIN or MONITOR. MAIN should be used when the speaker is mounted vertically on a speaker
pole. MONITOR should be used when the speaker is placed horizontally on the ground.
MAIN EQ
When the speaker is in MAIN mode, there are two available settings: LIVE and PLAYBACK. LIVE is
suited for live sound applications while PLAYBACK is better for playback of recorded music like with
a mobile DJ.
HIGH PASS
When turned ON, the HIGH PASS switch attenuates overall frequency output below the indicated
frequency. This is recommended where low frequencies need to be attenuated such as in
combination with a subwoofer or to reduce stage rumble when the speaker is used as a floor monitor
or in situations
FRONT CLI P INDICATOR
Setting the FRONT CLIP INDICATOR switch to 'ON' will enable the clip indicator light on the front of
the CVX subwoofer for situations where it needs to be visible like during a sound check.
