overheating Protection

The hob is fitted with an internal temperature sensor. When the
sensor detects excessive heating, the ceramic hob will switch off
automatically.

residual Heat Warning

When the hob has been in use for some time, there will be some
residual heat. The letter "H" appears to warn you not to touch the
zone.
auto Shutdown
another safety feature of the hob is the auto shut down. This occurs
whenever you forget to switch off a cooking zone. The default
shutdown times are shown in the table below:
Power level
Default running timer (hour)

using the timer

you can use the timer in two ways:
• Either as a minute minder. In this case, the timer will not turn off the
cooking zone when the timer runs out.
• Or you can set it to turn one or more cooking zones off when the
time runs out.
• You can set the timer for up to 99 minutes.

are selected.
2. Touch the timer control. The timer indicator will show
"--".
3. Set the timer by touching the "-" or "+" controls. The
minute minder indicator will start flashing and will
show on the timer display.
Hint: Touch the "-" or "+" timer control once to decrease or increase
by 1 minute.
Touch the "-" or "+" timer control longer to decrease or increase by
