SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

• Carefully read all instructions before using the appliance for the first time. Any use
that is not in accordance with the instructions releases FLAMA from all liability.
• Check to see that your residential power supply corresponds to the voltage indicated
on the specifications plate of your appliance. This appliance must be connected to
an earthed socket.. Any error in the connection annuls the Guarantee..
• Check to see that the circuit breaker where you are going to connect the kettle has
a rating of 10A or higher.
• This appliance has been designed for indoor domestic use only.
• Never connect this appliance to an external timer switch in order to avoid a hazardous
situation.
• This appliance should not be used by persons (including children) with limited physical,
sensory, or mental capacities, or lack of experience, unless they have been given
instructions in the use of the appliance by a person who is responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
• This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
- farm houses;
- by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
- bed and breakfast type environments.
• The kettle is designed for heating or boiling water. Do not use any other liquid.
• Use the power supply base (J) supplied with the kettle only.
• To fill the kettle, always remove it from the power supply base.
• Never fill the kettle beyond the maximum level indicator, marked on the water level
indicator, as boiling water may be expelled.
• Never turn on the kettle without water in it.
• Never turn on the kettle with the lid open.
• During operation, the body of the kettle (H) is hot. Only move the kettle using the
handle (F).
• If the kettle is very hot, let it cool down before putting cold water in it.
• Never immerse the kettle or the power supply base in water or any other liquid.
• Disconnect the appliance from the mains, removing the plug from the wall socket
after each use and when cleaning it.
• Do not use the appliance if it is not working correctly or if it is damaged in any way.
Except for cleaning, any work on the appliance should be performed by a Flama
Authorised Service Technician.
• Do not use the appliance if the power cord or the plug is damaged.
• Do not attempt to replace the electrical cord or the plug, due to the danger of the
operation. Have them substituted immediately by the Authorised Flama Service
Representative.
This product complies with the Low Voltage Directive - 2006/95/EC and Electromagnetic
Compatibility Directive - 2004/108/EC.
HOW TO USE TE KETTLE
This Flama kettle was designed to be simple, practical, efficient and safe to use.
Wireless Device: maximum ease of use, cleaning and safety. The power cord is independent
of the kettle.
Safety latch on lid: Guarantees that the lid does not open when water is being poured.
Automatic shut-off: the kettle shuts off automatically when the water begins to boil.
Indicator of maximum water level: the water level indicator shows the maximum
amount of water that the kettle can hold.
Level indicator: shows the amount of water in the kettle.
Cord winder: to facilitate storage, the cord is wound around the lower part of the
power supply base.
