Clean the outside of the kettle and the power supply base with a dry, absorbent cloth.
Do not use abrasive products.
How to remove the anti-calcareous filter (C):
To remove the anti-calcareous filter (C) of the Electric Kettle to clear, remove the kettle
from the power supply base (J) and let it cool down. Do not remove the anti-calcareous
filter from the kettle if it is still hot or with water inside.
- Open the lid (E), pressing the button for opening (D).
- Remove the anti-calcareous filter (C), pulling it upright. Proceed to the operation of
cleaning.
- Put the anti-calcareous filter (C) in the same place, making sure that this is properly
placed. Do not use the kettle before making sure that the anti-calcareous filter (C)
is correctly placed.
Decalcifying the kettle:
The kettle should be decalcified monthly, or more frequently, depending on the hardness
of the water and the frequency with which the kettle is used.
To remove the calcareous spots from the interior of the body, decalcify the kettle
periodically using one of the following methods:
- Use a decalcifying liquid, on sale in shops or at authorised FLAMA service
outlets (see the enclosed leaflet listing the Service Centres) and follow the
instructions that accompany the product,
- or use a mixture of one-half litre of water with 5 to 6 spoons of lemon juice.
When decalcifying the kettle, pay attention to the following points:
- Put the water in first and only afterwards the decalcifier or lemon juice.
- Do not allow the mixture to boil and watch out for the possible formation
of froth.
- After the decalcification, boil water at least twice before returning to normal
use.
If brown stains appear inside the body of the kettle, it is not rust, but a deposit of lime
ferrite, which is easily removed.
