The appliance is fitted with a thermostat knob, which allows you
•
to select the ideal temperature for each plate set. The following
settings can be selected:
MIN OFF position
300°

Keep warm function

340° Preheating
375° Sandwich
MAX Grill / Waffel
Turn the thermostat knob (3) to the desired position. You may
•
season the plates with butter, margarine or cooking fat. Since the
appliance has a non-stick coated surface, the use of butter or oil is
optional.
Protective coating burn off will cause smoking on first use. This is
•
NOT harmful.
The green ready light will go out when the cooking temperature is
•
reached. During use, this ready light will come on and off
regularly. This simply means that the thermostat is regulating the
appliance's temperature.
WARNING: WHEN THE APPLIANCE IS IN USE, THE BAKING PLATES AS
•
WELL AS THE METAL PARTS OF THE TOP COVER WARM UP AND CAN
REACH A HIGH TEMPERATURE. DO NOT TOUCH THEM!
!! TO AVOID BURNS, WAIT UNTIL THE APPLIANCE HAS TOTALLY COOLED
DOWN BEFORE CHANGING THE PLATES.
Keep warm function
This function can be used to keep the food warm after the cooking
time has elapsed, for example, if your second sandwich is ready
while you are still eating the first one.
