Descaling
Important! Descaler contains acids which may irritate
the skin and eyes. It is vital to respect the manufacturer's
safety warnings given on the descaler pack and the
warning relating to the procedure to follow in the event of
contact with the skin and eyes.
Note The use of an unsuitable agent for this process or
use not in accordance with the instructions of the descaler,
as well as not descaling the appliance as described in these
instructions, invalidates the warranty.
Over time, constant heating up of the water used to
make the coffee leads to limescale building up in the inner
circuits of the appliance. When "DECALCIFY READY" is
displayed, the machine requires descaling. In this state, you
can continue to make coffee or use the steam functions,
but we suggest you to do this program as soon as possible.
Appropriate coffee machine descaling solution can be
readily purchased.
1: Press Enter; the appliance displays "30 MIN",
2: Press Enter, the appliance displays "EMPTY TRAY",
3: Extract drip tray, the appliance displays "TRAY MISSING",
4: When you put the drip tray back, the appliance displays
"ADD DESCALING FLUID",
5: Extract water tank to add descaling fluid, put tank back
to original position and Press Enter to start the automatic
descale program. The appliance will display "DESCALING".
6: After 20 minutes, the appliance will display "change
water". Extract the water tank to add pure water, put the
tank back to original position and press Enter, this machine
also display "DESCALING".
