Why do multiple measurements
produce different readings?
Many factors may contribute to differing results. To prevent
different readings, clean the lens before and after each use, use the
same ear for each measurement, position the probe in the same
way each time, and wait at least 10 seconds between readings.
Is the thermometer still accurate after being
dropped or subjected to another heavy impact?
Your thermometer performs a self-test each time it is turned on.
As long as the self-test display (all indicators shown on the display
at once) is shown when the thermometer is activated, an accurate
reading should occur if proper technique is used.
