Ventilating the area
As per the applicable rules/laws, ensure that there are holes directed towards the outer
environment or a ventilating duct that provides proper air flow.
Make sure that the holes:
1. Have a passage section of at least 100 cm
2. Cannot be obstructed either from the inside or from the outside;
3. Do not have any guards to block air passage;
4. Are high enough not to force the discharge of combustion products.
If the holes are on the wall of an adjoining room, the said room must be directly ventilated and
it must not be:
i.
A bedroom
ii.
A common room with the installation area
iii.
A room where there is risk of fire.
Before testing the product, make sure that there is no pressure decrease due to malfunction of
another product used in the room where the ventilation holes are present. Ensure ventilation
between the two areas with continuous free openings, e.g. increasing the distance between
the door and the floor. Discharge of combustion products must be performed with a hood so
that they can be discharged either directly or through a chimney/flue.
Electrical connection
Edesa hob has a three-pole supply cable with a free terminal. If the hob will remain
continuously connected to the mains, for high voltage category III, install a cut-off device,
which is designed to cut off the current completely, in the opening between the contacts.
Please check the following.
a.) The plug and the socket must be suitable for 16A;
b.) They must be easily accessible and located in a manner that no electrical part can be
accessed while plugging/unplugging the product;
Fit the gasket, which is provided to ensure that the
gas pipe is fitted tightly. You must observe the
applicable rules regarding gas installations. After
making the connection, check with soapy water if
there is any leakage.
