Safety Warnings
for Heat Guns
There is risk of fire if the tool is not used carefully, therefore:
CAUTION
Use care when using the tool in the presence of combustible materials. Do not apply in the same place for
long periods of time. Do not use in the presence of explosive atmospheres. Bear in mind that some combustible materials
may conduct heat and not being evident at first glance. Set the tool into the base after using and give it time to cool down
before storing. Do not leave the appliance unattended when is being used.
Before operating the heat gun
• Take your time assessing the job. Double check all
necessary cautions are met before operating the heat gun.
WARNING
• Wear gloves and use them during the
job to protect hands from high temperatures coming out
off the heat gun. Otherwise, the user is exposed to severe
burns.
WARNING
• If using the heat gun to remove paint,
wear a breathing mask with filter to prevent breathing in
toxic fumes. Keep the area well ventilated when working
indoors.
While operating the heat gun
DANGER
• Double check the switch is in the OFF
position (see page 7, turning on and operation control
section) before plugging the tool. Otherwise, it can have an
accidental start up causing severe injuries or fire.
DANGER
• Never aim the gun when is ON towards
people or animals. Keep passersby away from the work
area.
WARNING
• Hold the gun by the handle, NEVER by
the air outlet. Otherwise, the user is exposed to severe
burns.
CAUTION
• Wait until the air outlet cools down
completely before setting or changing accessories.
CAUTION
• When pausing the job, use the orifice in
the handle to hang the gun (A) or to support it on a flat,
firm and stable surface (B) away from any object, material
or body part to prevent an accident.
After operating the heat gun
CAUTION
• Wait until the gun completely cools
down before storing it in a safe place away from the reach
of children.
Contraindications
CAUTION
• Do not try to thaw plastic pipes. The
material would hopelessly get ruined needing to be
replaced.
