OVERLOCK STITCHES

Position the fabric against
the guide plate of the
overcasting foot that the needle falls near
the edge of the fabric. Perfect for attaching
flat elastic, for overcasting, and for seaming
and overcasting in one operation.
NARROW AND DENSE
OVEREDGING
Excellent for hemstitching projects
like table linens. Picot-like stitch can
also be made on sheer materials. Sew along
the raw edge of fabric and trim close to the
outside of the stitching.

SHIRRING

HONEYCOMB STITCH

With the stitch length ''4", sew straight
stitching; lines 3/8 apart across the area to
be shirred. Knot the threads along one edge,
pull the bobbin threads and distribute the
gathers evenly. Secure the thread at the other
end. Sew the honeycomb stitch between
the gathering stitches. Pull out the gathering
stitches.
NOTE: Loosen the top thread tension to make gathering easier.
