3. Initial use
Note:While the heating elements are warming up, a burnt odor and slight smoke
may appear when the toaster is first used. This is not a hazard or a defect. When
using the toaster for the first time, wait until the appliance has heated up and the
smell has disappeared. When using the toaster for the first time, it is advisable to
switch on the toaster without inserting any toast.
Check if the product and the components are intact and if the appliance is working
properly when using it for the first time. Take the appliance out of the package and
remove all the packaging material. Before using the toaster for the first use time,
connect it to a properly wired power socket. Set the rotary switch which has been
provided for adjusting the degree of browning to the highest setting and switch
on the toaster by pressing the slide switch down. Repeat this procedure until the
burning smell is no longer noticeable. To interrupt toasting, press the "CANCEL"

) button.
