12.3. Sending
a
announcement
1. Press the 0 key to select all the zones that the paging desk
has access to.
2. Then press and hold the GONG+TALK (or TALK) key to
send a live voice announcement. You can begin speaking
when the TALK indicator illuminates.
12.4. Sending
a
message
1. Press the 0 key to select all the zones that the paging desk
has access to.
2. Press the navigation key  to select the MSG line of the
display.
3. Using the numeric keypad, enter the identifier of the
message you wish to send.
4. Then press the PLAY key to start the message. When the
PLAY/REP./GONG indicator illuminates, the message is
playing.

12.5. Repeat function

The paging desk incorporates a function that enables to
repeat the last live voice message that was sent.
1. Using the numeric keypad, enter the identifier of the zone
or group where you wish to send the announcement. To
enter different zones or groups, separate each identifier
using the enter key  .
2. Select the REP key. The PLAY/REP/GONG indicator light
remains illuminated while the message is being repeated.
If you want to stop playback of the message before it ends,
press the REP button again.

12.6. Recording an adhoc message

(Operator or Administrator user level is required).
Using the /  navigation keys, select the settings

Using the / keys select ADHOC RECORDING and

press OK.

The paging desk has capacity for the recording of 20
ADHOC messages. Use the / keys to select one of
the 20 available spaces and press OK.

Press and hold the TALK key. When the message TALK
appears, start speaking.

Release TALK key to end the message.
Using the navigation keys / select the SAVE option

CANCEL to discard the message and exit.

12.7. Sending an adhoc message

Follow the same procedure as for sending a pre-recorded
message (see section 12.2) by selecting the ADHOC message
you want to play.
12.8. Play a remote pre-recorded message
housed in the audio matrix
This option is only available if you configure the PA Manager
software so that pre-recorded messages activated from the
microphones desk are messages stored in the audio matrix
(UMX-03/0, IF-804ETH, IF-822ETH...). With this configuration,
the console only sends the activation command and is the
audio matrix that plays the pre-recorded message.
This remote activation of pre-recorded messages stored in
the audio matrix is incompatible with the playing of messages
stored in the DC-800ETH microphone desk (section 12.2).
1. Using the numeric keypad, enter the identifier of the
zone or group where you wish to send the pre-recorded
message. To enter different zones or groups, separate
each identifier using the enter key  .
If the identifier of the zone or group where you wish to
send the broadcast is not known:
a. Select the Z+G: line of the display and press OK. A list
with the name of the zones and their identifiers is
displayed. Press  and a list with the name of the
groups and their identifiers will be displayed. Use the
 and  keys to alternate between the zones list and
the groups list.
b. Once you
see
the desired list, use the navigation keys
/ to select the destination of the message and
press OK.
To delete use the DEL key.
2. Once the destination is selected, select the pre-recorded
message. Press the navigation key  to select the MSG
line of the display.
