8. This appliance is not suitable for use by children aged 0 to 8 years.
It may be used by children over the age of 8 years if they are under
the continuous supervision of an adult. They must be instructed in
the safe use of the appliance and have a good understanding of the
dangers involved.
9. It is not normal for the cable and wall plug to be hot. A cord or cable
that is deformed or burns when touched may be the result of a
faulty electrical outlet. Defective plugs can cause the power cord to
overheat and thus cause a fire.
10. If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its after-sales service or a person of similar qualification
in order to avoid any danger.
11. Never obstruct ventilation openings.
12. Close the windows and the doors.
13. Do not use the appliance with a damaged cable or plug.
14. Never clean or repair the dehumidifier when it is switched on.
15. Never insert your fingers, pencils or any other object through the
protective grille when the dehumidifier is on.
16. Do not use the unit in sunshine, wind or rain. Use only indoors.
17. Do not place your dehumidifier near a window. Rain may cause
a risk of electric shock. Do not use this dehumidifier in a humid
environment or near a bathtub, shower, or swimming pool.
Never reach to retrieve the unit if it has fallen in water. In such case,
immediately pull the plug. Have the unit checked before using it
again.
18. Never use the dehumidifier in the presence of an explosiveatmosphere
or flammable products.
19. Never place the dehumidifier or any part of it near an open flame,
an oven or any other heating appliance.
20. Warning: It must not be possible to access the dehumidifier controls
when in contact with water. Also, never touch the appliance with wet
hands.
