INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
MAINTENANCE
Every 2 months:
Check the oil level, and add oil to level mark from the filler cap, if need be.
Use hydraulic oil AGIP OSO 46 - or ESSO NUTO 46 or any equivalent oil.
Repair and calibration jobs must be carried out by trained personnel. For such jobs you can contact
Beta Utensili S.P.A.'s repair centre.
Every 6 months:
• Oil the moving parts of the press and check the operation of the gauge.
• Clean the suction filter.
• Check that there are no oil leaks in the circuit between the control unit and the cylinder, and in the
cylinder.
In case of leaks, check the state of the gaskets, and replace them if damaged.
Every year visually inspect all the parts of the press, to make sure that there are no problems or
anomalies.
The hydraulic unit (cylinder/pump) is a sealed system which, under normal conditions, only requires the
moving parts to be lubricated every six months. Check the oil level by means of the oil rod; to fill up
oil, use hydraulic oil AGIP OSO 46 - or ESSO NUTO 46 or any equivalent oil. This operation must be
performed with the piston at rest - that is, after bringing it back completely.
Oil in the hydraulic unit must be changed every two years, regardless of the general conditions of the
unit. Do not use brake oil!
Any other extraordinary maintenance jobs must be carried out by trained personnel of Beta S.p.A.'s
customer service.
WARRANTY
This equipment is manufactured and tested in accordance with current EU regulations, and is covered
by a 12-month warranty for professional use and a 24-month warranty for non professional use
respectively. We will repair any breakdowns caused by material or manufacturing defects by fixing or
replacing the defective pieces or replacing them at our discretion. Should assistance be required once
or several times during the warranty period, the expiry date of this warranty will remain unchanged.
This warranty will not cover defects due to wear, misuse or breakdowns caused by blows and/or falls.
This warranty will no longer be valid if any changes are made, or if the press is forced or sent to the
customer service in pieces.
