IV.- INSTALLATION OF YOUR HEATER
HEATER LOCATION:
For optimal performance, place the heater as close as possible to the points of use (we
recommend not more than a 5 meters' distance). This will minimize the loss of heat and
provide hot water quickly at the point of use.
•
This heater must be installed horizontally, with the connections facing downward
to operate properly. When the installation is finished and before filling it with
water and switching on the power supply, make sure it is effectively horizontally
mounted, using a testing instrument (such as a bubble level) (See Figure 2).
•
Install your heater so that the control panel is not obstructed, to facilitate operation
and maintenance. Leave a free space of at least 50 cm for access to the electrical
parts.
•
The location of your heater should be as practical as possible, near the areas
where hot water is used in order to avoid heat loss or freezing in areas of extreme
cold.
•
This water heater should be installed indoors or in enclosed spaces, because it
does not require ventilation for its operation.
•
If it is installed outdoors, the heater requires protection against the rain, preferably
a roof at a minimum of 80 cm from the heater top. If the heater is not protected
from the rain, this could damage the equipment and the electrical installation,
making void the warranty.
•
The heater must be perfectly fixed to avoid movement during earthquakes and/
or tremors, in order to prevent it falling from its position. It must also be protected
by a roof or niche to avoid direct contact with the rain.
•
The heater must be installed far from flammable materials or spaces with strong
magnetic fields.
FOR INSTALL YOUR HEATER
Remove the two (2) screws that fasten the front cover on the water heater (See
•
Figure 3B). Remove the front cover (See Figure 3A).
•
The surface where the heater will be installed must be solid and secure. DO NOT
install the unit over. Connections or electrical boxes.
