5. Clean the probe tip as in step 1, press and hold ON/OFF button to turn off the
instrument.
6. Pour the probe humidification fluid into the cover and close the cover.
BACKLIGHT ON THE SCREEN
To turn on the screen backlight, press the DOWN button after turning on the unit.
Pressing the button again will turn the screen backlight off.
CAUTION! When the pH of the substance being measured exceeds the alarm level
(ph>12.5 or ph<3.5) the screen will illuminate red.
CALIBRATION
The device should be calibrated if:
- it is being used for the first time,
- the probe has been replaced with a new one,
- the device has not been used for a long time,
- after measuring in a very strong solution,
- if the instrument indicates a measurement of pH>12 or pH<2,
- a fluoride containing solution was measured and the instrument indicated pH<7.
3-POINT CALIBRATION PROCEDURE:
1. Start the instrument and leave it in the measurement state.
2. Hold down the UP button until the CAL symbol appears on the display to
enter the calibration state.
3. Once in calibration mode, the temperature display zone will display 4.00. At
this point, wash the probe with distilled water and wipe with a cotton cloth
to prepare it for measurement.
Then insert the probe into the pH 4.00 solution and wait 3-5 minutes.
When the pH is stable, briefly press the ON/OFF button to proceed to the
next calibration point.
4. Repeat the probe cleaning.
5. Insert the probe into the pH 6.86 solution and wait 3-5 minutes. When pH is
stable, briefly press the ON/OFF button again to go to the next calibration
point.
6. Repeat the cleaning process.
7. Insert the probe into the pH 9.18 solution and wait 3-5 minutes. When the
pH is stable, briefly press the ON/OFF button again to complete the
calibration.
8. If:
- calibration was successful- the display will show PASS,
- calibration failed- the display will show ERR indicating that the pH of the
calibration solution is not within the calibration point and the instrument
