5. Starting up
Before moving the machine onto the field, check that all of the settings are in the transportation
position:
•
The motor is disengaged (fig 3)
•
The rotary switch is in the "0" position (fig 7)
•
The hose is completely retracted and the limit switch is accordingly deactivated (fig 4)
•
The sprinkler trolley is suspended on the rail (fig 5)
Now drag the machine using a tractor or similar vehicle or by hand onto the field.
Position the machine at the desired location and align it with the unwinding direction of the hose.
Attention: An incorrect alignment will lead to problems when retracting the hose.
Attention: When unrolling the hose, be sure to disengage the engine, otherwise the gearbox
may be damaged.
Now pull the sprinkler trolley out to the desired length. When doing this, ensure that the speed
maintains constant and reduce it before stopping.
Attention: It is essential that the motor is deactivated.
Ensure that the unrolled section of the hose fits securely and tightly on the reel and is under slight
tension (Fig. 10).
Attention: Insufficient tension can damage the hose when it is being retracted.
