7. Starting the LEADER

First place the device at the beginning of the area to
be sprinkled. Please ensure that the supports are
fixed in the ground (fig. 1).
Disconnecting the turbine in neutral position
Tilt the turbine downwards into the neutral position
(fig. 2) and attach it using the locking screw. The
hose reel can now be freely rotated.
Extracting the hose
Pull the hose out perpendicular to the machine and
leave a couple of complete windings on the hose
reel (fig. 3).
Check that the hose remaining on the reel fits tightly
and evenly on the reel and is under slight tension.
(fig 4).
Attention: Insufficient tension can damage the hose
when it is being retracted.
Connecting the turbine in operating position
In preparation for sprinkling, the turbine is returned
to the operating position (fig. 5).
The gearwheels of the water turbine and sprinkler
reel must engage firmly with each other.
Tighten the turbine locking screw by hand.
Opening the automatic shut-off
Now open the automatic shut-off by pulling back the
red button on the water stop valve and hooking the
bolt for locking the activation handle onto the front of
the hose trolley (fig. 6).
The valve is now open pending activation via the
sprinkler trolley (fig. 7).
