Safety and Maintenance Instructions
Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
Do not misuse cables and leads to carry or suspend the electric power tool, or to remove the plug from the socket. Keep the
power supply cable away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or moving parts. Damaged or entangled power supply cables increase the
risk of electric shock.
When operating an electric power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. The use of an extension cord
suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
Only connect the device to a socket which is protected via a suitable residual current circuit breaker. The use of a residual current
circuit breaker reduces the risk of electric shock.
The electric power tool is not suitable for work on energized parts.
Before commencing work, carefully check that there are no energized parts in the work area. If necessary, precautions
must be taken when working near energized parts.
2.3.
Safety of persons
Stay alert, pay attention to what you are doing and use good common sense when operating an electric power tool. Do not use
electric power tools when you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication. When using an electric power tool,
a moment of carelessness can result in serious injury.
Wear personal protective equipment, and always wear safety goggles. Protective equipment, such as a dust mask, non-skid
safety shoes, a safety helmet or hearing protection, depending on the type and use of the electric power tool, will reduce the risk
of personal injuries.
Prevent unintentional start-up of the tool. Ensure that the electric power tool is switched off before connecting it to the power
supply and/or the battery, and before picking up or carrying the tool. Accidents may occur if you keep your finger on the switch
while carrying the tool or if you connect the electric power tool to the power supply/battery while the tool is switched on.
Avoid any abnormal body posture. Ensure that you assume a stable position and keep your balance at all times. This allows you to
control the electric power tool better in unexpected situations.
Never assume that you are safe enough and disregard the safety rules for electric power tools, even if you are familiar with the
electric power tool after using it many times. Carelessness may lead to serious injury within milliseconds.
The mechanical return allows the operator to bring the tool to the initial position in emergency situations and before commencing work.
By pressing the reset button, you can switch the tool to a depressurized state. After work is completed and before the electric power
tool is put away, the equipment and tools must be switched off and put in a depressurized state.
If the machine or operator is put at risk of damage or injury during work, stop your electric power tool by activating the reset button.
Never reach into the work area of the tool head, unless you are sure that the tool has been shut down safely!
The safe shutdown of the electric power tool is only ensured if the tool is completely open and the battery has been pulled down,
after the reset button has been pressed for at least 5 seconds.
Keep other persons, especially strangers, away from your work area while working with the cutting/press head!
The electric power tool may be operated by one person only. Remove any bystanders from the danger zone of the electric power tool.
When you work at height, make sure to secure the tool sufficiently against falling.
2.4.
Use and handling of the electric power tool
Do not overload the electric power tool. Use electric power tools that are suitable for your task. By using the right electric power
tool, your work will be better and safer within the indicated performance range.
Do not use an electric power tool whose switches or other components are defective. An electric power tool that cannot be
switched on or off is dangerous and must be repaired.
Disconnect the plug from the outlet and/or remove the detachable battery before configuring the device, replacing tool parts, or
putting away the electric power tool. This precaution prevents the accidental activation of the electric power tool.
Keep the unused electric power tool out of the reach of children. Prevent any use of the electric power tool by persons who are
unfamiliar with it or haven't read these instructions. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
Maintain electric power tools and tool inserts carefully. Check whether all movable parts run correctly and are not stuck, whether
any parts are broken or damaged to the extent that the electric power tool will no longer operate correctly. Have damaged parts
repaired before using the electric power tool. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
Keep the handles and handle surfaces dry, clean and free from oil and grease. Slippery handles and handle surfaces prevent safe
operation and control of the electric power tool in unexpected situations.
