UNLOCKING THE TOOL
See Figure 1.
WARNING:
Always unload the unused fasteners before locking the lever
when taking a break from your project or storing the tool. Fail-
ure to follow this rule could result in accidental discharge and
cause personal injury.
The tool ships with the lever in the locked position.
To unlock, rotate the lock knob clockwise to release the lever.
To lock, empty the fasteners, squeeze the lever, and rotate the
lock knob counterclockwise.
NOTE: Always remove the fasteners before locking the lever.
LOADING THE TOOL WITH FASTENERS
See Figures 1 - 3.
WARNING:
Use only the fasteners recommended for use with this tool.
The use of any other fasteners can result in tool malfunction,
leading to serious injuries.
WARNING:
Keep the tool pointed away from yourself and others when
loading fasteners. Failure to do so could result in possible
serious personal injury.
This tool can use several types of fasteners including crown staples
and brads.
OPERATOR'S MANUAL
HEAVY-DUTY 4-IN-1 MANUAL STAPLER
RHMS4101
Hold the tool on its side with the driving end of the tool facing
to your left as shown.
Squeeze the magazine release button located at the rear of the
magazine and slide the magazine cover open.
Place fasteners in the channel with the tips pointing upward
and the crown resting on the bottom of the channel.
NOTE: Be sure to align the fasteners to the lower side of the
magazine as directed by the arrow that is shown on the mag-
azine's cover.
Push the magazine cover closed. Make sure it securely locks
into place.
ADJUSTING DEPTH OF DRIVE
See Figure 1.
The driving depth of the fastener is adjustable. It is advisable to test
the depth on a scrap workpiece to determine the required depth
for the application.
To determine depth of drive, drive a test fastener. Harder materials
and longer fasteners will require more force to drive the fastener.
Raise or lower the depth of drive adjustment to the more (+) or
less (–) setting.
Drive a test fastener after adjusting to be certain the desired
depth is set.
